It's a pretty nice ceiling fan, one of the easier ones I've installed. But, this is another fan where they went with the candelabra-base bulbs, so I took off 1 star. You can see on the box where they swapped out "standard base" for "candelabra base", because the box is lighter there (almost like a sticker put over the original text, but it's actually printed). The image, here and on the box, show what appear to be standard base bulbs. At the time of this review, Amazon's product description does not include the type of bulb used, just that it's a max 60 watt.

Hardware House's 415935 Paladuim ceiling fan graciously complements anything from a rural farmhouse to an uptown condo--and everything in between. With its lovely brushed satin-nickel finish, the fixture's simple body merges into five reversible blades attached with decorative hardware and offering two handsome color options--black and silver--which guarantee a perfect match with surrounding furnishings and trim. Furthermore, the fan's reversible three-speed motor, operated by a simple pull-chain, allows for customizing air movement--run the blades counterclockwise in the summer to create cooling airflow, and clockwise in the winter to re-circulate warm air from the ceiling. Accompanied by a light kit consisting of three lights, each with their own rounded frosted-glass shade, the fixture sheds gently diffused light over a dining table, living-room sitting area, or master bedroom. The light fixture requires three 60-watt bulbs (not included). To use the fan without the light option, simply install the included cap. The flush-mount ceiling fan measures approximately 52 inches in diameter and carries a limited lifetime warranty.
